FAQ

Good to know
What won't you take?

We can't haul hazardous stuff: paint, chemicals and cleaners, gas, oil and other fuels, propane tanks, car batteries, tires, asbestos, and medical waste.

$300 charge: if any of these are in the load and weren't clearly shown in your quote photos or details, a $300 charge applies.

How much does it cost?

Small jobs run $50–200, medium jobs $200–400, and bigger jobs are $400+ and quoted in person. We confirm the size and price once we see it. Quotes are free.

How do I pay?

Cash, Venmo, Cash App, or check. A $20 deposit locks in your date and comes off your total.

What happens to my stuff?

Anything still usable gets fixed up and resold, and 40% of that resale profit goes to the local charity you pick. Anything that can't be saved goes to the Rapid City Landfill. Want it donated instead? Add the donation drop-off on your quote.

Who We Are

Rapid City, born & raised

I'm Zac, and I've lived in Rapid City my whole life. I grew up with the Black Hills out the window, and this is the town I plan to keep working in.

I started Black Haul State in 2026 to do one thing well: haul off the stuff you don't want anymore. Couches, appliances, old furniture, the pile in the garage. I show up when I say I will, load it myself, and leave the place clean.

Anything still good gets fixed up and resold instead of dumped, and part of that money goes back into this town through the charity you pick. When you hire us, you're hiring a neighbor.
